Skyscrapers coming up in Ethiopia. A true sign of development?

Dear friends,
Proposed structure

This is what I say about skyscrapers : why do they, the builders, choose such a none Ethiopian architecture??There are so many architectures they can choose..Too bad..preserving culture and history it is also by building  that represent  the Ethiopian identity that one feels proud of his identity...personally I don't like this. I don't believe that it is through skyscrapers that one shows modernity, but by using modern technology to rivisit an revive traditional architecture. They would be more pleasant to the eye even simply, for the ethiopian history and the many Ethiopians, that i doubt do identify themselves in skyscrapers. What does the 40, 50, 60 years old average working person has to do with this?

Traditional architecture
I, as ethio-eritrean how do I identify with this? Do any of you? A traditionally designed building can be built in a very functional and technologically advanced way.. Skyscrapers in time turn ugly..and certainly dnt match with the beautiful surroundings there, look at other capital cities of Africa with such buildings! If I was the architect I would design this in a very Ethiopian style, maybe even from past, also another enriching point of Ethiopian buildings is the turistic and scholastic importance and advantage it could rely, as people could also visit it, with tour guides. They do it in big cities around the world, that have been smart enough to work on this side, by binding profit with cultural identity and historical heritage, even if they become banks :)

thank you for reading..
